94.8% Wachaguliwa Kujiunga Kidato cha Kwanza 2017

WANAFUNZI 526,653 sawa na asilimia 94.8 ya waliofaulu mtihani wa darasa la saba mwaka huu, wamechaguliwa kujiunga na kidato cha kwanza mwakani katika shule za sekondari za serikali katika awamu ya kwanza huku 28,638wakishindwa kupangiwa shule katika awamu ya kwanza.

UDSM MOST PRESTIGIOUS VARSITY 55 YEARS ON

For fifty five years, the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) has maintained its status as the leading higher learning institution in the country, making immense contributions to knowledge creation, awareness building and development in general.
UDSM Vice-Chancellor Prof Rwekaza Mukandala says the public university has constantly been ranked among the four out of 12 best universities in countries south of the Sahara by Webometric assessments.

MATHS - DAR PUPILS SHINE IN SRI LANKA

Seven Dar es Salaam-based pupils have performed well in the 16th edition of Smart Intellectual Programme (SIP) International Prodigy Abacus and Mental Arithmetic competition, held on October 9th in Colombo Sri Lanka.
The elite competition attracted six countries across the world, whereby Tanzania participated for the third time and was represented by the seven pupils from Aga Khan Mzizima Primary, Dar es Salaam International Academy (DIA), Aga Khan Primary, International School of Tanganyika (IST), Indian School, French School and Aga Khan Mzizima Secondary School.

Dodoma — In a bid to improve learning environment and improve quality education in public schools, the government has allocated 12.9bn/- for construction of latrines in both primary and secondary schools.
The Deputy Minister in the President's Office - Local Government and Regional Administration - Mr Selemani Jaffo, said yesterday in the National Assembly the government is determined to ensuring that students learn in a conducive environment.
